Full-time Day Shifts available - 8 am - 4:30 pm 
Includes rotating weekends and holidays
Shift differential: Weekend: $1.30/hour

Job Summary
The Wellness Activity Assistant is responsible to assist in the development of and for performing exercise and therapeutic activities with Sisters as assigned. 

Essential Specific Job Duties
  •  Works cooperatively with Contract Therapy Provider to maintain a Sisters physical strength, balance, range of motion, and coordination.
  • Carries out large group, small group and one on one Wellness programs for physical, cognitive, or pain management needs which include social, recreational, sensory stimulation, validation and/or reminiscence activities.             
  • Identifies and communicates observations of special needs or concerns of the Sisters, including changes in Sisters physical, cognitive or pain status to supervisor.
  • Keeps accurate records of assigned Sisters. Records individual Sister information on appropriate forms.
  • Issues w/c, cushions, and other appropriate items to assigned Sisters and keeps accurate records.
  • Provides safe, clean environment for Sisters and Staff. Carries out established schedule for maintenance, cleaning and quality control of all department equipment. 
  • Works cooperatively with internal and external volunteers to carry out wellness programs. 
  • Provides input to Coordinator for ordering equipment and supplies.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings and in-services and other required meetings.
  • Protects the confidentiality of Sister’s personal and medical information. 
  • Serves as a positive role model for the organization by utilizing effective communications and encouraging Teamwork through collaborative and cooperative interactions with all employees, departments and administration.
  • Follows and supports the policies and procedures as established by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict.
