Job SummaryResponsible for providing hair care for the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict.
 
 
Essential Specific Job Duties
 
Works cooperatively with Sister residents to meet their hair care preferences and needs, promoting positive customer service.
 
Communicates on a regular basis with supervisor, providing information regarding hair care operations, needs, or concerns.
 
Creates schedule of Sister hair care appointments, utilizing efficient time management practices.
 
Discusses hair care options and preferences with Sister residents and makes recommendations.
 
Operates equipment and manages chemicals in a safe manner.
 
Shampoos hair.
 
Sets and styles hair as requested.
 
Cuts hair.
 
Provides permanents.
 
Complies with infection control policy and sanitation practices.
 
Cleans the beauty salon at the end of each work day. Maintains salon in a clean, orderly appearance.
 
Reports needed repairs.
 
Sanitizes combs, brushes, etc.
 
Records services provided to Sister residents each day.
 
Maintains inventory of supplies. Purchases supplies for the beauty salon in an economical manner as needed.
 
Performs all duties according to timelines and prioritizes work accordingly.
 
Abides by the confidentiality policy and practices of the organization.
 
Serves as a positive role model for the organization by utilizing effective communication and encouraging teamwork through collaborative and cooperative interactions with all employees, departments and administration.
 
Responsible to establish and maintain compliance with all State and Federal regulatory requirements, reporting to supervisor on a bi-annual basis.
 
Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-services, and other required meetings.
 
Follows and supports all policies and procedures as established by the Sisters of the Order of Saint Benedict.
